Specify parts of the text to reject changes
You must first enable the Developer tab in Microsoft Word before you start the main work. Since it contains advanced settings that often come to the attention of professional users, this tab is normally hidden. Click on the File menu and select Options to activate this tab.
Click on the Customize Ribbon section in this window and select the Developer option from the right panel under the Main tabs section and then click OK.
Now you can see it on the ribbon.
Now, to specify the part of the text you want to be un-editable, select that section, and then click Rich Text Content Control from the Developer tab. This will put your text inside a special box.
Then select Properties from the Developer tab.
This will open the Content Control Properties window in which you must write the title of the section. Notice that tick both Content Controls can’t be deleted and the Contents can’t be edited under the Locking section. You can also specify other options for changing colors, margins, and the like in the same window.
In this way, the specified section will not be editable until it is removed from the Properties section of the Developer tab.
Right click on the specified section and choose Remove Content Control to back to the editable form.
